World Help is reaching out to many of the 13 million refugees who have fled for their lives due to the military advances of the brutal Islamic State. Many escaped during summer and have no warm clothing. Many are living in abandoned buildings in northern Iraqi towns that have raw sewage, cramped living quarters, and very little food. Winter is now upon them, and temperatures frequently drop well below freezing levels to dangerous levels.
This is where YOU come in. There are four possible ways you can help:
- $40,000 is needed to fund the meals packed at our headquarters. Donate Now.
- We need volunteers to come and pack the food (and hopefully give too). Click here to volunteer.
- Host a mobile event in ASAP at your church, school or business. Contact us to book a Packathon.
- We will be operating two permanent packing stations at our headquarters all summer long – and we need your help! Let us know if you can recruit at least ten volunteers and come for a two hour shift during these dates (second week of each month): June 8-13, July 6-11, and August 10-15. Available shift times are Monday-Friday from 3-5pm or 6:30-8:30pm, and Saturday from 9-11am. Contact us to volunteer or call us (336) 227-1273.
This is very time sensitive, as we hope to send off the second container in the next 60 – 90 days. No gift is too large or too small. No group of volunteers is too large or too small. Every Packathon is appreciated. World Help is excited for this first container and has asked for two more as the year progresses. So this could be a joint endeavor for the rest of the year.
Let’s come together at this crucial hour of need for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ.
